There are sooooo many but here is a handful that I would buy on Blu Ray without even thinking about it:

Any Sir David Lean
Any Sergio Leone
The Third Man (coming !)
Citizen Kane
The Magnificent Ambersons
Any Bronston Epics
Ben Hur
Spartacus
My Fair Lady
Singin In The Rain

Lean's "A Passage to India" is already out on Blu-ray, and "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Bride Over the River Kwai" are on the list by end of 2009. Warner's also got "Ben-Hur" slated for Blu-ray next year to coincide with the film's 50th anniversary.

Jesse - I already have "A Passage to India" (beautiful !) but wasn't fully aware of any time scales on the others. Thanks for the update.

Update time!

From my original list, the following titles have been announced/released by Warner.

The Goonies
JFK
Poltergeist

Just wanted to say thanks, and that I hope the other titles I listed make it on future release schedules.

Re: Attn: Warner - These are titles I would gladly purchase on BD

Warner is sitting on some great ones... In fact, most of what I'm dying to see is coming from their vaults. I second:

The New World: Extended Cut (I just ordered the SD, I swear my Blu-Ray player gave me a dirty look!)
Barry Lyndon
Badlands
Akira Kurosawa's Dreams
THX 1138: The George Lucas Director's Cut
Doctor Zhivago
Forbidden Planet

I would by all of those day-and-date, even if pricey deluxe packages. Right now I only own three Blu-Rays for lack of enough interesting catalog titles.

If United Artists released Fellini Satyricon (maybe through Criterion?) and Anchor Bay started releasing Werner Herzog classics, I'd be in heaven

Very excited to see Amadeus, King Kong (1933), and The Lord of the Rings on the new flyer posted at thedigitalbits.com.

I am glad to see titles like Amadeus & King Kong (1933) coming to Blu-ray. And another big title in the classics area for me is Gone With The Wind, that is a must own for me.

And while Lord Of The Rings may not be a WB title I can not wait for that title especially. I do however wonder if that release of Fellowship Of The Ring will be the theatrical or the EE?
