HD DVD $5.99 sale (Universal) + shipping ($4.95 for first, @$2 for others) 5/24/08

iNetVideo is blowing out 114 Universal (I think that's where most of the titles are coming from) HD DVD titles for $5.99 each. American Gangster is $11.99, and there are 2 TV season sets: Battlestar Galactica Season 1 $39.99, Heroes Season 1 $29.99 listed on the website.

Since the news got out, it blew up their website, so they set up another alternative website (the main caveat is that this site only accepts Paypal and money order orders):

Shipping is a little pricey if you only buy one, or a few. It's $4.95 for the first title, and $2 for each subsequent title. So if you order 5 titles, shipping is $12.95, but the sub-total is $29.95, the total is $42.90, average cost $8.58. And the more you buy, the average cost goes down a little bit.

Someone posted a full list of the titles (I think Out of Sight doesn't show up on the website on the US side, but shows up on their Canadian site). You'll pay a little more on the Canadian site since the US dollar is now weaker than the Canadian dollar, by about 1.1%. But the Canadian site does accept credit card orders.

Looks like prices are creeping up, probably 1/3 of the titles or more are now $7.99 each.

Picked up my 2 shipments this morning from the post office (wasn't home on Saturday to sign for them), and ended up with 11 bi-lingual covers, and 12 English-only covers.

Just an FYI, from now until June 8th, there is free shipping for orders over $50 (limited to USA orders). The selection of HD DVDs is getting smaller, but if you can find enough to get over the $50 minimum, you can get some good deals. You may have to use "FREE0909" for the code to get the free shipping.
