Looking to replace old receiver

I have a Sony STR-DE875 that I purchased around 7 - 8 years ago maybe. Well, I picked up a set of Yamaha speakers, the $100 set from BB. They are 30 watt, 100 watt max, 6 ohm. So now it's been running for years and the receiver decides that the front left channel and rear right channel are not worth driving anymore. I checked that it is not the speaker but the receiver itself. To top that it's decided to start a loud buzzing sound that gets louder over about an hours time until you have to turn it off!..... I don't live in a large house so the speakers worked great for the size of the room. But now I'm looking to replace the receiver and not sure what I should be looking for.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Looking to replace old receiver

Ok, my second option would be to send my receiver to Sony for repair. It's a flat fee of $122.... Would it be worth it?
