Is Rescue Me still airing?

I am watching them on netflix, on season 2. Just curious if the show is still going strong...

Still going. They only do 13 episodes per season and they've always run out of sync with the broadcast network seasons to have new episodes running when everybody else is in reruns. I'm not sure what effect the writer's strike had on the upcoming season (the fifth, if I'm not mistaken), but even with no strike I would have expected new episodes until June or July in any case.

If i've read correctly The Shield should be airing in the June/July timeframe. They had those in the can before the writers strike, whereas the new season of Rescue Me was in the process of being written. I would expect those episodes will air sometime after The Shield concludes.

I've read Rescue Me won't air until 2009. The delay may be partially due to the strike.
