I'll probably pick this one up as well.....although not on release date. I'll probably wait for a price drop so it could be awhile.

I just spotted the back cover art at dvdempire....

Take note of the last think mentioned in the special features. Features an All-New Soundtrack Selected by the Executive Producer.

Now... I personally don't care one bit about music (of any type what so ever) and never seen this show before... so it won't stop me from buying this set. BUT I do know many on this forum really cares about the music so thought I would bring it to your attention before it is too late.

But I guess now changing the music is considered a special feature?

That's what Birds of Prey should've done ... market it as a special feature!

Thanks for pointing that out. Looks like I can take this set off of my shopping list. While the music isn't always critical for telling the story in these episodes (though it was in a few scenes), it was always very instrumental in setting the mood. All of the classic rock blended with some more modern tunes seemed odd on the surface, but as a whole, it helped make the show unique. Watching the series without it will feel a bit wrong IMHO. With an MSRP of $70 for 26 episodes and the pilot, I do demand no alterations.

I do suppose that they may just be nixing the Joel Goldsmith incidental music, but that doesn't seem very logical given the "selected" moniker.

Here are some lists with supposedly all of the music used in the broadcast version of the show.

I was interested in getting Witchblade: The Complete Series on Region 1, but after reading the above posts I'm not going to bother buying the set if some or all of the music has been changed.
