At minimum, you will have to post the manufacturer and model number so we can look up the information on your sub. Most powered subs have a left and right input. Some have a single LFE input. Very, very few have the inputs like you describe and those are ususally for specialized systems like a HTiB.

Sounds like a pseudo sub bass module intended for an HTiB or computer type surround system to me, as Robert alluded to.

Its a Vistron 5:1 Silver Home Theatre System. There are 2 inputs the one which i have setup now its basically insert red cable and white cable into the subwoofer and on the remote control you can switch to the 2nd input called Ac-3 which has 6 connection sockets with center rear etc written on it. It works fine the way I have it set up now with the red and white cable i just wanna know what this 2nd output is for.

Re: I just bought a subwoofer and i wanna know.....

Is it this one?

The stereo inputs are probably being converted to Dolby Pro Logic or some other matrixed surround sound. The 6 inputs are for a Dolbly Digital decoder. If your DVD player has the decoder built in, then you would connect the 6 outputs from it to the 6 inputs on your bass module.

And that box you call a sub, is nothing more than a bass module. The satellite speakers have 3" drivers. They are similar to Bose and probably can't play any lower than 200hz. The 5.25" speaker in the bass module takes over from there and probably goes down to 50hz. (Those numbers are just guesses based on experience building speakers using drivers of that size)

This one.

Still doesn't change anything from my previous post other than the "sub" goes down to 40hz.
