Projector or LCD/Plasma

Hey All I am hoping for some advise. I am in the process of finishing my basement and I am trying to decide on TV or Projector. In the past I had a 55" HDTV, projection and I hate the floor space it takes up. So in this new room/theater I am not sure the best way to go so i can prewire. I like a big screen and mostly watch movies and play video games. I looked at the 50-60" plasma's and they look great but I am not sure if I should go larger and do the projector. My room is about 20FT wide and 50 FT long at the back of the room I will have a bar. I have one window in the middle of the room and a sliding glass door at the back(by the bar).

HELP any tips..things to think about?

Re: Projector or LCD/Plasma

What is the size that will be devoted to the theater portion? Screen size is determined by the seating distance, not room size.

Re: Projector or LCD/Plasma

Then I definitely recommend a projector, as long as you can get the room reasonably dark. The darker the better. With a seating distance up to 15', I would use at least a 106" diagonal screen.
