Doctor Who Season 4 - Page 6

Re: Doctor Who Season 4

The whole three-part season ender was a great fun ride. I was screaming at the TV with excitement in a lot of places. My son has been away for a few weeks and it is going to real a delight to see his reaction as he watches the The Stolen Earth and Journey's End.

It is going to be rough waiting for the various specials. I don't think SciFi has a deal yet for how/when they are going to broadcast them in the US.

It is interesting how RTD kept upping the ante in the season finales each year. Season 1 had Daleks in the future endangering Earth. Season 2 had Daleks and Cybermen in the present endangering Earth. Season 3 has the Master actually take over the Earth. Season 4 has the Earth and other planets stolen and all of reality endangered. The only way to top this would be all of reality and time (the Time War?). Whether Steven Moffat will feel the need in 2010 to top RTD is a question. Maybe he'll just go in some other direction.

Re: Doctor Who Season 4

Why is the show taking off until 2010?

Re: Doctor Who Season 4

Because David Tennant is peforming Hamlet with Patrick Stewart and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

This is not necessarily a bad thing, because it will allow Steven Moffat more transition time as he's takes over the reins as producer.

It's also not a bad thing because hopefuly Patrick and David will start talking behind the scenes, leading him to do a guest spot on Who, thereby cementing Stewart's position of King of All Geeks now and forever.
