BURBANK, CA (March 18, 2008) – JR and the whole Ewing clan are back for another exhilarating season of backstabbing, lust, betrayal, and outrageous surprises when Warner Home Video debuts Dallas: The Complete Ninth Season on DVD July 15, 2008. Larry Hagman (“I Dream of Jeannie”), Linda Gray (“Melrose Place”), Victoria Principal (Earthquake) and Barbara Bel Geddes (Vertigo) star in the show which was nominated for 17 Emmys® over the course of its highly rated 14-season run. The four disc special DVD collector’s set features all 31 episodes and is priced to own at $39.98 SRP.

Dallas fans just can’t get enough of the twists and turns that make up this hot Texas drama. Guest stars for the ninth season include Academy Award® winner George Chakiris (Best Actor, West Side Story, 1962), Jenilee Harrison (“Three’s Company”), Dack Rambo (“All My Children”), Ted Shackelford (“Knot’s Landing”), Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba), John Beck (The Other Side of Midnight), Deborah Shelton (Body Double), Barbara Carrera (Never Say Never Again), and Academy Award® nominee Martha Scott (Best Actress, Our Town, 1941).

This season some Dallas moneymen take a bath – and one takes a shower. (If you don’t know what that means, you’re in for a surprise.) The action begins with Southfork mourning the death of Bobby Ewing. But before the tears dry, folks are up to their oil wells in chicanery, greed and lust. J.R. romps with his mistress, institutionalizes his wife and plots to destroy his new business partner. Mark Graison returns from the presumed dead to complicate Pam’s love life. Cliff concocts a can’t-miss scheme to grab control of Ewing Oil. A femme fatale shipping CEO vamps J.R., Jack and even Cliff.

Dallas premiered in 1978 and soon became an international phenomenon airing in over 130 countries around the world. People the world over are still watching Dallas on cable as the series continues to find a whole new generation of viewers. Over its 14 seasons Dallas garnered 17 Emmy® nominations and four wins, 14 Golden Globe® nominations and one win, and was the #1 or #2 rated network series for five consecutive seasons.

• Seasons of Change - An in depth look at the most famous dream sequence of all time, the entire ninth season, and its impact on the storylines, the fans, and stars. Re: WHV Press Release: Dallas: The Complete Ninth Season

Great news!

I'm actually awaiting Dallas: The Complete Tenth Season and hope they schedule that VERY soon. For me, the Ninth Season is a skipper since the whole thing was a dream anyway. My collection is going from Dallas One through Eight then Ten so when I watch it, it flows seamlessly, from Bobby's death to him coming out of the Shower.

Bring on Dallas: The Complete Tenth Season!

That'll probably be in January.

What's really interesting is that parts of the dream actually came true.
