Sort of odd to hear, but we knew it was coming....

Microsoft decides it will support Blu-ray. You can read the story here

I hope it is an add-on and it is affordable like their HD-DVD add-on was (the $120 range, not the $50 range that is at now, but that would be real nice too!).

Certainly would be interesting on how Toshiba handles this. Hopefully it would be affordable and present the same qualities for S-DVD from their HD-DVD players. Definetly would be worth jumping into Blu-ray then. As mentioned earlier, Microsoft ain't no dummies.
