That last one was way over my head, but I'll take a stab here.

John Colicos-Kur (sp?)
Michael Ansara-Kang
William Campbell-Koloth (Really wish Trelane would have made another appearance...maybe related to the Q Continum)

From three separate episodes in TOS, appeared in DS9 "Blood Oath"

Those were truly from memory, but a little IMDB cheating tells me that...naaah...I'll give others a chance to pipe in.

Try this:

Name an actor and the character he/she played in TOS that was reprised in a later series. This does not count Ricardo Montalban's Khan.

Opps, forgot to add, this does not include Leonard Nimoy, Deforest Kelley, James Doohan or Mark Lenard.
Nelson,

If I understand the question correctly, you mean a TOS character that was reprised, yes? Maybe Roger C. Carmel would qualify, as he played Harcourt Fenton Mudd in two episodes of TOS, and then that character was reprised in a later series (TAS). I'm guessing that you mean someone else, however (e.g., John Colicos = Kor, William Campbell = Koloth, and Michael Ansara = Kang; each of them reprised their roles in at least one episode of DS9). If it's a non-Trek series, then you've got me.

Whoops--just noticed that Paul got in there before me. If we're correct, then it's your turn next.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Yes, you're all correct. But I was thinking of someone else as I honestly totally forgot about Kor, Kang and Koloth!! You guys got me, good going!

I was thinking of Charlie Brill who played Arne Darvin in The Trouble With Tribbles and DS9 Trials and Tribulations.

Paul is next!

Nelson et al.,

Just a slight aside: I watched Silk Stalkings a few years ago when the program was on the air. I never knew at the time (and in fact, only found out when I eventually saw Trials and Tribble-ations years later) that Charlie Brill was the same man who had played Arne Darvin in the original The Trouble With Tribbles! What a coup of Ira Behr's to land him in that succeeding role. There is a very neat special feature on the DVDs addressing just what circumstances had to happen (and in what order) for that role to be reprised by Brill. Great stuff.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

(Jonathan Frakes) Riker was in TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT (in DS9 he was his "brother").

(Marina Sirtis) Troi was in TNG, VOY, and ENT.

(Dwight Schultz) Barkley was in TNG and VOY.

(Colm Meaney) Miles O'Brien was in TNG and DS9.

(Patrick Stewart) Picard was in TNG and the first ep of DS9.

And of course (Majel Barrett) as Nurse Chapel, Lwaxana Troi, and of course the voice of the computer in all the series. (I know this doesn't fit the criteria but I couldn't leave her out).

Why not? The studio obviously felt it was okay to leave her out -- out of Nemesis, and a guest spot at her character's daughter's wedding. The absurdity of that is still galling.

Hey, isn't she still married to Odo?

That's one I've always liked but it used to scare me a little as a child. I've always had a fear of being held against my will and that one has a disturbing storyline along those lines.

Here goes...

Which two Trek alumni (not necessarily regular cast) appeared in The Last Starfighter?

I had to look up names but I didn't check their credits...

My guesses...

Dan O' Herlihy?
Lance Guest?

I hate it when I'm reminded about a movie I only have on VHS. I really need to get Last Starfighter, I love it.

Sorry. Neither Alex nor Grig ever appeared in anything Trek.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Sulu and his first officer (I think it was first officer) on the Excelsior reprised their roles in an episode of Voyager entitled "Flashback".

James Cromwell reprised his role as Zefrem Cochrane in "Star Trek: First Contact" on the first episode of "Enterprise."

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Marc Alaimo (Dukat) and Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) were both in The Last Starfighter. Incidentally, in non-Star Trek-related news, "The Last Starfighter" was directed was Nick Castle who played "The Shape" in the original "Halloween." Halloween 2 featured a small role by Lance Guest.

How about Meg Wylie? She was one of the Talosians (The Cage and The Menagerie).

Bingo...she's the one I was looking for. She is credited as "The Keeper". She always reminded me of a real live "granny" from Looney Toons. (RIP)

You're up, Scott.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

I was a much older teenager, if not an adult, before I realized that The Keeper was played by a woman. And the way I found out was by watching an old episode of Perry Mason. There was just something so darn familiar about this old lady on the show and then I realized.

I know the episode of Perry Mason.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Okay, here is a neat question. Name one actor in TOS who 'died' three times (in three different roles). I'm guessing someone will come up with someone other than whom I'm thinking of, which is fine. Good luck!

Mark Leonard Died in Balance of Terror, ST:TMP, and an episode of TNG.

Cant forget the security guard named Johnson. He died more times than i can count!

RickER,

My bad. I wanted an actor from TOS who died three times in TOS (not in films or other Trek series).

I guess I should have written:

Name one TOS actor who 'died' three times (in three different roles) in TOS. Sorry for being unclear. Since I was unclear, you may either take a stab at the rewritten question or pick one of your own choosing.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

OK, let me think about this one. I guess it wasnt the security guy either? LOL

Yep, I looked up my answers after guessing and saw they were wrong. Oh well....

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

I might be working on a technicality here, but...

John Lormer-

-Killed by the Oracle in "For the World is Hollow and I Touched the Sky"
-Killed by a lawgiver in "Return of the Archons"
-(now for the technicality) Appeared on Talos IV to Cpt. Pike and crew in "The Cage" and "The Menagerie" , but was actually already dead.

Ohhh, thats a good one. Never would of thought of him!

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

I had to ponder this one, I think it might be William Shatner. But I realize the question asks for 3 characters, so my take may be wrong.

Kirk "died" twice; 1. Amok Time when McCoy gave him the triox compound; 2. The Enterprise Incident, Spock gave the faux acting Kirk the Vulcan Death Grip; 3. And then Operation: Annihilate! Samual Kirk dies, played by Shatner.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

^^^
Good one about Shatner playing Kirk's brother Sam too. I'd seen that one for years and didn't know until relatively recently.

Paul,

Bravo!!!!!! That's the one I was thinking of (technicality and all). And yes, I had thought of the 'survivors' on Talos IV--but I figured that one was fair game.

You're up next.

Nelson,

Your answer is quite good as well, esp. if we're counting technicalities (in this case, Sam Kirk). Nice guess.

That being said, can you imagine if there is another one out there that we haven't yet thought of? There might just be another, although I don't know of one at the moment.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

I know David L Ross died many times as a security guard. I can think of The Omega Glory and Day of the Dove off the top of my head. Eddie Paskey, he died a whole bunch of times as well, as in Obsession, for one.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Whew!

Next.

We all know about Mr. Shatner's famous spoken word albums, but which actor appearing in TOS had a number one hit in the US and UK?
