Who will be getting Super Smash Bros. Brawl this coming Sunday March 9th.

I'm getting mine at Gamestop which open early at 9am for the event.

Also remembering that we loose an hour on that same day due to daylight savings time.

We can now fight online.
So I'm wondering who will be wanting to fight?

I've never played this game. What's it like?

Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl bashers section

It's a fighting game with all the popular Nintendo characters.
It's a sequel to Super Smash Bros Melee.

I barely played Melee.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl bashers section

It's a fighting game that both beginners and experienced players can have fun playing - and it's colorful and dynamic, too, so that even non-gamers will have fun watching. Also, there are lots of stages, characters, music, artwork, etc. from various Nintendo games, both popular and obscure, so if you've been playing Nintendo since the 80s, you'll really appreciate the references.

What's surprising is it has a fairly intensive single-player mode as well, though most don't consider it nearly as addictive as multiplayer.

I don't normally like fighting games (per se), but I played online with a family member tonight just to try it out, and next thing I knew 45 minutes had passed. It's really a great party game (1-4 players). Your mileage may vary, of course.

I like how you can customize your own taunts for online play.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl bashers section

Are you using the controller and nunchuk combo, the game pad controller, or ?

Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl bashers section

I'm using the classic controller(which I like)

I tried the nunchuk and it's fine, but just isn't my style.

I'm having a blast go through the adventure mode, unlocking everything.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl bashers section

One year late to the party here, but better late than never! This game rocks! But there is so much stuff here I don't know where to start. Any suggestions for noobs? I have been so far brawling with live players in multi but have barely scratched the surface. Also, which character is best for a beginner to start with?

Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl bashers section

I have both Gamecube and wii's Smash Bros. I love Nintendo wii.

Its fun that you can use the gamecube controllers for both games. I am so happy cause I have 4 cube controllers. Its funner to use the wii controllers though.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl bashers section

What character are you using mostly? I was pretty random with them but I find Pit to be pretty easy to use. If I fall off a ledge he seems to be able to get back up pretty well.

I'm reading about some tier listings and they put MetaKnight at the top.
