'Family Guy' spinoff in works

"Family Guy's" Cleveland Brown might be getting his own show.

Fox and 20th Century Fox TV are developing a spinoff from its hit animated series centered on Peter Griffin's bathtub-accident-prone neighbor, sources said.

The project, tentatively titled "Cleveland," is being written by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry -- who voices Cleveland and serves as writer-producer on the series -- and "The Simpsons" alum Rich Appel, executive producer/showrunner on MacFarlane's other animated comedy for Fox, "American Dad."

I would think if they are going to do a spin off series on one of their characters that it would be Quagmire.

Being a Family Guy fan I'll definitely watch Cleveland if it gets made.
I'm just curious how they are going to do it.

I give it three episodes, then out. I like Family Guy quite a bit, but a spinoff? ehh...

Cleveland is one of the last characters I'd watch a spinoff of, I'd rather watch one of Opie. I'd still give it chance though since I like Family Guy.

I think the Evil-Monkey would have a better chance as a spin off.

So what do you think of "The Cleveland Show"? I thought it was okay, but then again, my expectations were really low, and didn't really expect much.

It's okay but not good enough where it makes sense that it's already renewed through 2011.

I think Family Guy is better than American Dad (even with the bad episodes of FG the past few years) and American Dad is better than The Cleveland Show.

I guess the people at FOX already knows that it will get great numbers, considering it's sitting in such a great spot, between The Simpsons and Family Guy. Then again, that didn't exactly work out for Sit Down, Shut Up.

This show is simply not funny.  I gave it a couple of episodes, but I'm out.
