I cannot remember the name of this series, (It only ran about half a dozen episodes on CBS) but it starred Vincent Price as the Engineer of a Ghostly Railroad that took riders back in time so they could carry out some kind of mission. If it came out on DVD I'd purchase it. Does anybody know what this was called?

I remember Time Express- Mr. Price's leading lady was his real-life wife, Coral Browne. Also, I should add last season's New Amsterdam to the list.

Run Buddy Run
Pruitts of Southampton
Second Hundred Years
East Side/West Side
It's About Time
Hollywood: A Celebration of the American Silent Film (documentary miniseries)
My Mother, the Car
Ugliest Girl in Town
Turn-On

Those are just a few off the top of my head. I think those series that were infamous flops are as important as those that were good series but didn't have the ratings.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe. I know that it technically aired a really short second season but all the episodes produced for the two seasons would technically equal one full season I guess.

The New People. If only to see how it really compares to Lost. I've heard there were a lot of similarities.

The Silver Surfer animated series that aired on Fox earlier this decade.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe has been announced, yay

Any chance Paramount will release Raising Dad (2001) or Disney releasing Brotherly Love (1995)

Re: Which short-run (1 season or less) show would you MOST like to see on DVD?

Any chance of Warner releasing Rock Me, Baby (2003) starring Dan Cortese, Tammy Townsend, Bianca Kajlich and guest starring Paget Brewster

or The Trouble With Normal (2000) which I think is owned by Disney starring Paget Brewster and Jon Cryer. (capitalise on Criminal Minds and Two & A Half Men)

Or Paramount's Love & Money (1999) starring Brian Van Holt, Derek Basco and Michael Cudlitz

Or Paramount's Grapevine (2000) with George Eads, Kristy Swanson and Steve Eckholdt (capitalise on CSI)

Re: Which short-run (1 season or less) show would you MOST like to see on DVD?

Bless you guys for remembering Longstreet, Ellery Queen, and Petrocilli. I'd also like to add a short lived Quinn Martin series, Manhunter starring Ken Hunter.

Not to change the subject, but I really wish tv land, or another cable channel would just show one year series programs and such for those of us who missed the programs when they first ran. The "biggies" can rerun to death.

Sci-Fi Channel used to do this back in the day when they were a good channel and not the wasteland of original junk, Scare Tactics, etc. that they've been for the last several years.

The now-defunct Trio channel did show limited-run series under the banner "Brilliant But Cancelled". I guess the thing scaring off other networks might be the fact that Trio couldn't keep itself going (though, to be fair, I think a big part of the problem there was the fact it never could get a lot of cable systems or Dish Network to pick it up, and that DirecTV dropped them in 2005).

Re: Which short-run (1 season or less) show would you MOST like to see on DVD?

It makes you wonder why there isn't a cable channel for this sort of thing!

No one has mentioned any variety shows!

I'd like to see MARY. This was Mary Tyler Moore's variety show from 1978 or 1979. They filmed about eight of them, but I don't know how many were aired. Regulars included David Letterman, Swoosie Kurtz and Michael Keaton!

I'd also like to see:

The Flash
Apple Pie
Tales of the Gold Monkey
Turn On
My Mother the Car
Hot L Baltimore
Open All Night
He & She
The Associates

and

The Powers That Be

One season or two partial season shows.
-Ellery Queen
-Operation Petticoat
-Project UFO
-Cliffhangers
-CPO Sharkey
-The D.A.
-Supertrain (should be released for the same reason we got "Pink Lady And Jeff" on DVD. So we can see a fascinating study of the ultimate TV disaster)
-The Hero
-Amazing Spiderman (WHAT is the holdup on this????)
-Amy Prentiss

Re: Which short-run (1 season or less) show would you MOST like to see on DVD?

Hi. I definitively want to see MATT LINCOLN starring Vince Edwards, of Ben Casey. Matt Lincoln was never given a chance by ABC in 1970. It was scheduled at 7:30 opposite Flip Wilson and Jim Nabors. Can you imagine a series about a psychiatrist who struggled to assist college age students with emotional problems airing at 7:30? Matt Lincoln ran a walk-in clinic and a telephone hotline. This was a quality, well-written series that was never given a chance. Of course, it starred one of the most beloved tv actors in history, Vince Edwards. The pilot film Dial Hot Line aired as an ABC tv movie of the week. They all deserve a release. This was the definitive 1970's tv series. Reference the internet and see how in demand Vince Edwards' tv series are.
