What's with "Norman, Is That You?"

I've been wishing for this comedy with Redd Foxx and Pearl Bailey to be released on disc for years! Something is holding it up - maybe music clearance? Surely not because of the gay subject. I wouldn't think it would offend anyone except maybe Fred Phelps.

Warner owns this. and they recently released gay theme films like CRUISING and THE RITZ, unless they feel the film isn't populsr enough?

Wasn't the film originally shot on video, then transferred to film?
