Steve Gerber, the creator of the Howard the Duck comic book (and who also hated the movie based on it) just died.

Wow. That's a shock. He's also known for revamping the Man-Thing and for various episodes of Batman: TAS.

IIRC, he was actually the creator of Thundarr.

Marvel's releasing a Howard the Duck Omnibus soon (which I pre-ordered). It was supposed to just be a nice big book collecting his work but now I guess it'll be a monument to him.

I know it is not cool to admit to liking Howard the Duck, but I enjoyed that film when I was growing up. LOVED IT. Who knows maybe we can get a release of this on dvd soon....

Now I need to check out the comic. I never even knew it exsisted.
