Elan System 6/Oronto tsu7000

I had an elan system 6 installed in my house three years ago and also a pronto 7000 programed to control everything.
My question is Do I have to reprogram all elan key pads if upgrading my tv and dvd to blueray? If so how can this be done without spending a fortune.
I live in the far northern subs of chicago.

I know this not quite the answer you require but get instruction manual for an Ideal Elan system. That manual might help.

Short answer is if your Elan was controlling the old devices and you want it to control the new devices then YES! No way around it.... Same with the Pronto.

Try going to Elan's website and do a dealer search. You might be able to find an install company that will program it for you. We're an Elan dealer but I'm located in Wis.

Re: Elan System 6/Pronto tsu7000

I have spoke with a dealer in the area that elan hooked me up with. The price seems high. What would be an average price to have the system re-programmed? 4 key z250 and six sources?

What was the quote? Was it hourly or a total price?

Re: Elan System 6/Oronto tsu7000

Wow, that's a lot. How many hrs/days did they say it would take them? I would think a day tops! Maybe 2nd for troubleshooting. Are they the only dealers around? I would call around for other quotes!

$2000 ????? sometimes I really wish I could just quit my job, and do simple crap like this for big gobs of cash.
