Looking around Amazon, I see they've matched the B&N prices on Criterion Blu-rays for some, but not all, titles. Among the matches are The Last Emperor, The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Wages of Fear, The Third Man, Chungking Express -- all $19.99. Others may drop; so keep watching.

LOL.  For a moment there, I thought you were directing that comment to me.

Yeah, the B&N deal is still better for these Criterion titles (at least for us B&N members residing in NY state).  I'm not too sure whether the formerly-Live/Bing 10% cashback offer for B&N is stackable on top of the coupon, etc.  But I'll probably give that a try for a few Criterion BDs.

And yeah, damn you, Storraro!

This one's for Canadians.....Bestbuy.ca apparently is selling the '300: The Complete Experience' BD for $ 9.99 .....already ordered one for myself.  Might want to order it before they realize they made a pricing error on the site. Credit goes to danman227460 at the Blu-ray.com forums.

UPDATE: Looks like they discovered the error and hiked up the price to $34.99 ......hope they honour the orders that got through.

Whatever it is, please make it something I already have. Between this and the Criterion sale, my wallet is screaming.

Is there anticipation of a Bourne sale tomorrow or something of that nature?

That Dirty Harry deal is a great one, thanks for that heads-up!

There's been a different Blu-ray box set on special every day this week, and it's supposed to continue through this weekend. Bryan's hoping for Bourne, but I don't think anyone knows for sure. So far, all the boxes have been Warner titles (Matrix, Batman, Harry Potter, Dirty Harry).

 Ah, thanks for the info!

Good Lord, make it stop...

Barnes and Noble just added the following Criterions to their 50% sale:

For All Mankind
Last Year At Marienbad
Repulsion
The Seventh Seal

Also, I found another 10% off one itme coupon, R9C9M3U, which works for non-members.

The DDD 25% sale is now LIVE.

HOTSTUFF and DVDTALK are a few of the working codes.

Given the extremely low likelihood of a Bourne Trilogy Blu-ray DOTD on Amazon, I offered it off DDD for $54.67 after discount.  That's close enough to the $50 mark for me.

Plus there's 4% Bing.com cashback for those so inclined.

Amazon has Discovery's When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions for $21.99 on Blu-ray.  I jumped on it earlier this evening, but was just now able to post.  It's been a very space themed week for me with this and For All Mankind.

I looked for the Criterion BD of For All Mankind at the Barnes and Noble site and it doesn't show as part of the sale. Is it truly on sale? Maybe I missed it?

And today's (7/17) Amazon Gold Box special is indeed another Warner title: Blade Runner.

Blu-ray 5-disc set is $18.99. DVD briefcase is $37.49.

Michael - looks like the briefcase is only DVD, not blu-ray. I was about to buy before I noticed this. The normal 5 disc for $18 and change appears to be blu-ray though.

Damn, that's what I get for reading too fast. You're absolutely right, and I've amended my post accordingly. Thanks! I hope I didn't send anybody on a wild good chase. (Other than myself, but that's what returns are for.)

Anybody care to wager that the Ocean's set will be one of the specials for the two remaining days of this sale?

Sigh.

Didn't Amazon just do that set as part of their High Def Week a few weeks ago?

My local Wal-mart has Pale Rider and Robocop on their shelves for $10 each.

I believe so, and I think I guessed wrong. Today, Saturday, the specials are all standard DVD, no Blu-ray. Box sets for James Dean, Scorsese and Steve McQueen.

But there are a lot of Blu-ray markdowns. For example, Milk just dropped to $15.99.
Thanks for all the heads-ups here on this thread, I found some great deals!

I picked up the Criterion For All Mankind at a Barnes and Noble store today, they all had 50% stickers on them. And I was able to grab the earlier mentioned Dirty Harry set deal.
