Some good Blu-ray deals at J&R (jr.com) right now, $11.99 and up.
Most of these titles are usually in the $13-18 range anyway, but it might be worth a look. I'll probably hit the store in NYC, though it often has less on the shelves.
I posted this in the Weekly Roundup but I'll add it here too....
For those looking for Silence of the Lambs Blu-ray and have a Fry's Electronics nearby, you can order it from their website for $17.99 and use (the apparently new) free in-store pickup. Much better deal than Amazon.
Amazon has a deal if you order Quantam of Solace with other Bond BDs. Order one additional title and save $7, two titles and save $10, three titles and save $20, etc. See here. If you order QoS and the 3 new Bonds, the total comes to $77.
The prices of at least a few of those titles in the Amazon 2-for-1 sale have been jacked up about $5 from what they were yesterday. Joy.
That's S.O.P. It still works out to less per disc (most of the time) if there are three that you want. The problem is that so many titles are carryovers from past sales.

Yup, did that today with the steelbooks and asked for the $20 credit since the code didn't work.
Columbia House is doing B1G1 for BDs again. In general you will be buying titles at around 17.50 each. Pre-orders and box sets can be the trigger item, but not the free item.

It's too bad License To Kill, Never Say Never Again and The Man with The Golden Gun aren't included in this.

The current b1g1 Columbia House deal doesn't include free shipping, but it does let you take a Blu-Ray as the free item (usually you can buy a BD to qualify but not take one as the freebie).
Unfortunately, almost everything is listed at $35-$40, so the deals are OK but unspectacular, especially once you factor in the shipping.

Thanks for that!
I had planned to buy Solace, as well as Goldfinger, so with the $7 off plus Supersaver Shipping, thats about $20 a disc. Works for me.

Huh. This is interesting. Looks like the offer is only good for those who got the email. I log in directly and I don't see the deal. I go through the email and the discs are priced at 25% off the full (so 30.00 instead of 40.00), plus the B1G1 on top. So even with the shipping I'm looking at about $17 to $17.50 per title.
Is there a Columbia House version with Blu-rays? I was going to sign up again but it seems like you can't take BR with the new member offers. I read there was a Blu-ray club where you can get five titles at $5 each but I haven't been able to find it.
Having gotten the good news that I'm employed again, I took a bunch of the money I had saved up and went on a shopping spree. I was a little disappointed at various "sales" at Best Buy and Target so I doubt I'll be shopping too often there.
I was going to jump on Amazon's 3 for 2 deal but passed. I did jump on the Amazon.uk and Amazon.ca 3 for 2 deals because there were a lot more titles to pick from. ALMOST FAMOUS, CEOT3K and BONNIE AND CLYDE for $35 shipped was a lot better than most of the deals from any other site I've seen.
So far I haven't been overly impressed with many of the sales so I've stuck to Amazon's marketplace whenever a good price is found.

This may be a very extreme YMMV.
I checked my account and it seems to be working the same way as yours. The two discs I checked with shipping added averaged out to $15 a disc. Not too bad for discs that are selling at Amazon for $23 and $24. That is if you don't mind waiting for the slow shipping that is characteristic of Columbia House. The sale ends tonight.
I've jumped on the two previous B1G1 BD sales and can't say the shipping has been that bad. Certainly not much worse than Amazon's free.
I'm spoiled by being an Amazon Prime member, but patience is a virtue. One that I need to practice more. Ordering from CH might do me some good. And you are right, if it is in stock at CH they seem to be comparable to the free shipping at most online retailers.
On the Pinocchio front, Toys R Us' Sunday ad seems to indicate the Pinocchio blu-ray for $21.99. Even looking through the flash version of the salespaper on their website, it lists "Pinocchio, Blu-ray" for $21.99.
On the Toys R Us website, the DVD is $19.99 while the BD is $29.99.
Not sure if the ad is a misprint or not, but it might be worth stopping in the store for a try.
A poster over at SlickDeals is reporting that if you buy BOTH the Blu-ray releases of Pinocchio & Sleeping Beauty @ amazon.com, they'll take $10 off EACH TITLE...dropping the total price by $20!
Looks like it's still active to me. Just went to the checkout screen and it showed the $20 discount. I did have to make sure I used the "Group my order into as few as shipments as possible" initially to get the discount to show up, but there does seem to be some chance to get it.
