That lower price, I think is a result of Universal dropping the MSRP from $119.99 to $94.98 Better sense, seems to have finally prevailed at Universal, or maybe it was the poor pre-order numbers that sent the message to Universal. Either way, the pricing makes a lot more sense now, although a MSRP of $90, would have been more appropriate.

I was going to hold off on Battlestar Galactica but after hearing that Fry's was selling it for $9.99, I caved in.

FYI -- I was in Costco yesterday and a number of Warner catalog titles (the ones that are generally on sale/ inexpensive -- Enter The Dragon, Wyatt Earp, etc.) were $12.99. Some other catalog titles were $18.99, but I forget which ones.

BJs Wholesale Club has had similar prices ($13.99 in some cases) on those titles.

Amazon has had them for $13.99 since they were no longer part of a 3-for-2 sale.

They've also, as expected, dropped the price of Eagle Eye to $16.99.

I just got Groundhog Day on Blu-ray for $4.99 plus tax. Not too shabby for buying something I need to purchase anyway.

Also, this apparently work on the lesser $29.99 versions, as well as the more expensive one too. Store pickup is also an option for those wishing to avoid shipping.

J&R.com is having one of its Blu-ray sales this weekend.

Most prices are $13.99 or $17.99...but you need to buy three.

Not sure why they do that for web orders, but they never require that for in-store purchase. In fact, I was just there earlier today (mainly to pick up something else) and didn't see any titles I wanted enough -- none that I don't already own anyway. Actually, I did pick up Borat on DVD for $3.99 though.

Much like our discussion elsewhere on Sin City, I have been sore tempted to pick up Borat in a dump bin as a blind buy...but that's one I haven't pulled the trigger on yet! Maybe I'll have to now...just to keep up with you, Man!

My local Kroger's grocery store has $5.99 HDDVDs in it's DVD sale bins, oddly enough.

For those who buy used discs, Blockbuster has started to sell used blu-ray's, average is $16.99 each. Shop wisely, some can be had for less and new.

Best Buy's flyer this week shows Amadeus on Blu for $14.99 all week in store.

Amazon currently has Gandhi on blu at $21.99.

Amazon has matched both. I wound up picking up Amadeus at Best Buy, but I think I will order Gandhi from Amazon.

Circuit City's down to 40% off, but yesterday I picked up a cutout of John Mayer's Where the Light Is concert BD there for a penny! So if you're looking for that disc and you have a local CC, give it a try.

ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST is priced at $14.99 right now, almost a $10 difference from its usual Amazon price. I just took advantage of it.

Strange about "From Hell". I got an order in but it appears it was only at the $9 price for a couple hours. Maybe a pricing mistake?

You're right. The price has gone up. I just verified my order is still for $8.99. They were either selling too many copies at that price and/or it was a price mistake.

Edit: I submitted my order this morning.

Turns out Amazon has dropped the price on a number of Oscar-nominated Blu-ray discs.

Most are in the $13.99 to $16.99 range.
