Can't imagine all *THAT* stacking would work in a NYC TrU.   I couldn't even get the nearby Target to take their *OWN* web coupon (unless I put up some fight) back during the holiday shopping season on my first-and-only try (for Inglourious Basterds).

But guess maybe I'll see and give that a try, if I can also get the PatF deal to go w/ the TS/TS2 preorder deal.  Actually, it'll probably be my wife doing it rather than me.

That's it.  Send in the big guns!

The advance copy of TRU Sunday ad shows TS and TS2 BluRay combos for 21.99 each plus a $10 discount if you buy both, but I can't see any reason for them not to accept at least one of the Manufacturers coupons.   Getting them to accept multiple MC's would seem to too much to hope for particularly once you go below zero.

As long as they will accept the 10off I'll be thrilled.
Did the Toy Story combo preorder deal at TRU after work on Friday and picked up PatF 3-disc for ~$7+tax (ie. ~$8 after tax) -- I didn't have "the other $5 print-your-own coupon" for PatF, but I'm happy enough w/ the final price I got since I originally paid nearly $20 for PatF and would not have the TS preorder deal on top.

The "big guns" (as Mike calls her ) will do the rest of the heavylifting on the TS preorder deal w/ the pickup (and whatever coupon stacking) come Wednesday at the local TRU of her choice -- and she'll also return my original purchase of PatF to the BB that's nearby that TRU as well...

If the one of her choice is the one you did the presale at, she'll be fine.
She'll need the receipt, the card and it has to be at the same store you did the presale.
Hmmm...  When I asked the TRU cashier/clerk, she told me it didn't need to be at the same store.  Guess we'll find out soon enough.

^ My TRU card makes no mention of the same store, only the sets have to be picked up within 2 weeks of in-store date while supplies last.
I thought she told me same store, either way seems that since it was ordered for stock at a specific store I would expect that they want us to pick up at the same store.
Did you need a coupon to get the $15 preorder deal?  Is that still in effect today?

And I hope she (and you, of course) realize I mean that only in a positive and polite sense!

Aaron, today is the last day for this.
preorder ts1 and ts2 get $15 off a current dvd or blu.
They also seem to be taking an additional $5 off the current purchase.
Piggybacking off of what TonyD said: on the Disney DVD/BD display in the store, there are pre-order announcements, for lack of a better word.  The flip side has four UPC's for the two BD's and two DVD's.  I brought Princess and the Frog to the register with me and $15 came off instantly.  The card does says deposit needs to be made by 3/22, so I'd assume it's just good through today.
To clarify, the $15 credit is only good for a Disney title that you must buy together w/ the TS combo preorder.  You need to bring the aforementioned TS preorder card (probably available somewhere around the cash register area -- or just ask them) along w/ the Disney title you want to have the $15 credit applied.

Also, I would recommend making sure they ring you up for the Blu-ray+DVD versions of the TS combo, *NOT* the DVD+Blu-ray versions, if you plan to use the $10 upgrade coupons.  The preorder card specifies both versions for each TS title (much like various other Disney catalog animated BD/DVD titles before).  I get the feeling that you might run into a bit of trouble trying to use the upgrade coupons later for the final pickups *IF* they ring your preorder up for the DVD+BD versions, instead of BD+DVD versions.  The UPCs are different for them.

I scratched out the dvd upc's before i went up to the counter.

I can confirm this.  I paid $10 for 2 deposits on TS1&2 and $5 (25-15-5) for Cars.  The proof of the pudding will be if  they take my 2 $10 upgrade coupons when I pick up TS1&2.  I am not impressed with the help at  TRU,  that's why I  have some doubt.  If they won't take them, I'll return Cars and get my money back.

If they do take them, I'll end up paying $21 for 3 blu's.  I know others have done better, but I'm happy with that.

I managed to get their last copy of A Bug's Life on BD for $10 ($15 off plus that mysterious $5 off that seems to pop up for some but not others).

The UPCs on the preorder card were labeled "Blu-Ray" and "DVD".  I made sure my receipt said Blu-Ray.  People have reported success with the $10 coupons in the Weekly Roundup folder.

Thanks to all for the tips!

A head-s up for anyone that's interested-
I ordered a copy of the UK Bd for Almost Famous from Amazon UK yesterday for $14.84 SHIPPED.
The exchange rate fluctuates, but the disc is currently something like 65% off msrp . Was going to wait for the domestic release eventually, but for that price I couldn't resist.

It has been that price for awhile. I bought this title a couple of months ago for essentially the same price. Great film at an excellent imported price.

"Ip Man," the martial arts biopic about Bruce Lee's Wing Chun teacher, is also at a very nice price at Amazon UK - about $15 USD all told. Apparently the majority of special features are in PAL, but the feature disc is region free. By comparison, the import available on Amazon US goes for over $50!

Hmmm...  Hard to believe I've already waited 2 years for a still-as-yet-unannounced US release of this since the UK release.  Since there's still no info/rumors on a near-future US release (unlike some other titles), think I'll finally also bite the bullet and order it from Amazon UK as well, especially since they just dropped the price some back to its previous low of ~£7.  I really wanted both the original and "bootleg" cuts (and more complete extras), but I guess this price is enticing enough -- and I'd also like to order a few other titles to go w/ it from Amazon UK, so ...

Yeah, that was my plan too. I liked the theatrical cut more overall than the DC, but I've been getting an urge to watch the film again. After flipping through the Bootleg's extras, I decided I'd rather have either cut of the film in HD now rather than wait just to get this same stuff again down the line. After I saw the shipped total it was a no-brainer. Even if it got announced tomorrow for the US, it would still likely take months after it streeted to hit a sub $15 price. I put the Bootleg up for sale this morning on Amazon, and just got a notice it sold, so this will hopefully be a fairly painless upgrade.

Getting both Toy Story movies for $3.98 is reminiscent of the glory days of DVD discounts.  What a nice feeling.

I ended up placing a pretty sizeable order (of 14 titles) w/ Amazon UK since they had some great prices on quite a few Sony titles along w/ some others.  Some have actually already been released (or will soon be released) here, but some not -- and of course, there's the odd case of Let the Right One In w/ the subtitling issue in the US release (and yes, I'm aware that new pressings should have that fixed, but seems very difficult to locate them, especially at a good price).

I'll list them all right here for anyone interested -- and maybe someone might also alert me quickly if any of them is actually region-locked (so I can maybe cancel quickly) although they should all be region-free AFAIK :

"Almost Famous [Extended Edition] [Blu-ray] [2000]"
Billy Crudup; Blu-ray; £5.91

"The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen (20th Anniversary Edition) [Blu-ray] [1988]"
John Neville; Blu-ray; £5.91

"Erin Brockovich [Blu-ray] [2000]"
Julia Roberts; Blu-ray; £5.10

"Jerry Maguire [Blu-ray] [1996]"
Tom Cruise; Blu-ray; £5.10

"My Best Friend's Wedding [Blu-ray] [1997]"
Julia Roberts; Blu-ray; £5.10

"Kramer vs Kramer [Blu-ray] [1979]"
Dustin Hoffman; Blu-ray; £5.10

"Labyrinth [Blu-ray] [1986]"
David Bowie; Blu-ray; £5.91

"Ashes Of Time Redux [Blu-ray] [2008] [DVD]"
Leslie Cheung; DVD; £7.65

"Charlie And The Chocolate Factory [Blu-ray] [2005]"
Freddie Highmore; Blu-ray; £6.75

"Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon [Blu-ray] [2000]"
Chow Yun-Fat; Blu-ray; £7.53

"Midnight Express [Blu-ray] [1978]"
Brad Davis; Blu-ray; £5.91

"Let The Right One In [Blu-ray] [2008]"
Kåre Hedebrant; Blu-ray; £7.65

"Silverado [Blu-ray] [1985]"
Kevin Kline; Blu-ray; £5.91

"Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory [Blu-ray] [1971]"
Gene Wilder; Blu-ray; £6.80

FYI, these listed prices already have the VAT deducted -- and shipping comes out to ~£2 per order + £1 for each title shipped.

Also noteworthy is that some of these are released in the US in digibook form, but released w/ standard BD cases in the UK (for those who'd care).

The online Criterion store criterion.com has 25% off right now using the promotional code "AFS". They also offer free shipping on orders over $50.

I picked up the Yojimbo/Sanjuro box set, along with "M" for approximately $65 shipped.
As they typically do, Amazon has matched Target's current Blu-ray sale prices on the following:

$13.99 each (and others)
The Matrix
Gran Torino
The Watchmen
(500) Days Of Summer
Whip It
Amelia
Night At The Museum
Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs

Although I didn't check, they've probably also matched the current $9.99 deals listed in the Mar. 30, 2010 round-up. These prices won't last long. If you're like me and don't have a nearby Target, these Amazon matches are great.

Godfather Trilogy region-free Blu-ray set $29 shipped to the United States from Amazon.uk:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001E25MBK/?tag=sdfp-21

Add it to your cart, proceed to checkout, and the discount will be applied.

^ Dirty Harry box set is a good bargain there too. I just picked up a bunch of BD stuff from my amazon.com wish list at the UK site earlier this afternoon, much cheaper. Check if locked before going nuts. Warner is safe (the DH set).
