I believe they were matching Best Buy which had it as their online deal of the day for that price.

Amazon is offering Star Trek Season 2, for $39.99. Not a bad deal.

I would bet they're price matching Best Buy--who, this week, advertised ST - TOS: S3 on BD for $39.99 and is also offering Seasons 1 & 2 for $39.99 apiece.

 $10 off Ponyo here:

http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/disneymagicalsavings/?cmp=dmov_dvd_dmsave_url_ponyocoupon

Looking at the Ponyo thread, I am guessing there will not be many takers, but this trumps the $3 coupon I had found previously.

Google "Ponyo coupon" to find a printable $10 coupon.  Hooray Disney!

I was in Costco on Sunday, and the selection of $9.99 and $12.99 BDs continues to expand.  In the $12.99 section were The Longest Day and all the Pirates movies, among other things.

Disney also has a Blu-Ray club now.  Regular prices seem to be MSRP or close to it ("Starting at $30"), but the membership requirements are to buy 3 discs up front for $30 total with free shipping, then to buy 2 more at regular price (regular shipping is $4 for the first disc and $1.50 for each additional disc in an order).  So that's 5 discs for $95.50, which could be a good deal depending on what you get.

Blockbuster stores have dropped the tired, old 2/$25 pricing on their previously Viewed Blu-ray discs and have gone to a tier-pricing system for the PV's discs.  Prices seem to range from $6.99 to $16.99 with no combo pricing.

I picked up the following for $6.99 at one of my local BlockBuster stores:  Milk, Knowing, Sunshine Cleaning, Michael Clayton.

I can't remember a lot of other titles...but I remember seeing Baby Mama and Speed Racer for $6.99 and Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead for $9.99.

One caveat.  The discs come in DVD cases...but have the original artwork.  I just purchase some empty Blu cases and transfer them over and noone's the wiser.

It might be a good idea to sticky this link to the top of the page, as it updates regularly with the newest offers (the $10 off coupon for the Princess and the Frog is now displayed on the page).

They also had a number of the new Double Features Blu-ray combo sets.  I took notice of the Miss Congeniality/MC2 and Frantic/Presumed Innocent sets.  Each one was $19.96.

Non-HD...but they also had an entire side of a long aisle with $5 DVDs (rather than a bin).  Some newer titles, too:  Four Christmases.and some higher-profile titles likes Jaws and My Cousin Vinny.  Again...nothing startling...just a different way of presenting things, I guess.
My crappy walmart finally added the $8 blus so I picked up The Arrival.
Thought about Monster SQuad but I still have the One I ought a couple years ago that I paid $10 for on sale.

Mike, do you remember what BB was charging for a PV Benjamin Button?

Might be time to pay them a visit. . .
My location doesn't have it but I'm sure it shows as $12.99.

Heads up for those with Amazon pre-orders for the TS1&2 deal: I just checked my account and shipping preparation had begun and I couldn't cancel them.  I had decided to go with the Target deal so I called customer service and was able to get them canceled that way.

So if you are thinking about canceling your Amazon  pre-order, do it now.

Thanks, Johnny.  I just canceled mine--via PC--without problem.  But I appreciate the heads up because the Target deal is shaping up to be the best deal on these two titles.

Toys r Us has a great deal.

If you preorder/reserve TS1 & TS2 you get $15 towards a purchase "today" meaning right now when you reserve the two toys.
So combining with some of the Disney coupons that are floating around, you should be able to get 3 Disney Blus for under $20/25 total.
Today I reserved both Toys by prepaying $10, 5 for each, then received an auto discount on Princes and the Frog of $15.
There is another additional Disney promo at toys r us that takes another $5 off.
So today I paid $1.99 plus tax to get PatF plus a presale for both Toy Stories

Now next week when I pick those up they are $16.99 each minus the $10 I already paid, also take offf any other Disney coupons that are printable including the $8 Disney blu ray upgrade promo coupons.

My head is spinning on that TrU deal.

Which Princess and the Frog did you pick up for $1.99+tax?  The 3-disc BD?  Did you also use the $10 Disney print-your-own coupon?

I'm wondering if I shouldn't just return the 3-disc copy I bought the other night from BB -- and the kids haven't opened yet.

I'm spinning on this too.
I copied this from another place but this is essentually the breakdown.

+$5.00: Toy Story pre-order deposit
+$5.00: Toy Story 2 pre-order deposit
+$26.99: Princess & Frog BD combo pack (with $8 sale discount)
-$15.00: discount for pre-ordering both TS titles
-$5.00: DISNEY PROMO
-$10.00: Princess & Frog printable coupon
-$5.00: other Princess & Frog printable coupon
________
$1.99 (plus sales tax): final paid this week
post #1200 of 2238

And you know for sure that TrU will be pricing TS and TS2 for $16.99 each *and* still allow you to use the Disney upgrade coupons, which are $10 each, on top of this preorder deal?

That's pretty wild.  So you can get PatF 3-disc + TS and TS2 for something like ~$6 total + tax probably on the pre-coupon sale prices???

I bet though that the TrU's in the NYC area either won't allow all that deal stacking or will make me jump thru many hoops to get that -- or maybe they're all out of the PatF BD into the next century.
