panasonic bd30 blu ray player

hey guys , just a quick question. how do i listen to the pcm 5.1 uncompressed sound on this player ? do i keep the bd secondary audio off ? all the other audios are set to bitstream. thanks , brian.

Yes, secondary audio off. Bitstream everything in the settings. The better news is that tomorrow Firmware 1.5 is being released which fixes the LFE HDMI bug for PCM audio.

Actually, the new firmware version is 1.6.

...which I just loaded onto my BD30...making it again the best bang-for-the-buck--if not arguably the best, period--standalone BD player currently available today. Some folks may still complain about the lack of a "forced" 24fps option, but that's more an issue w/ their display than w/ the BD30 itself (which technically, it is nothing the BD30 is doing wrong).
