Ah, I see. Well, in the UK they're just about as prevalent as they ever were (i.e. about the same as they
used to be in the USA as well), and though not necessarily market leaders in many respects (that honour has passed to places like Tesco and Asda, the latter now owned by Wal Mart) they still have some shout, and this is especially so in disc sales. Woolworths UK was until recently a very major retailer of CDs, DVDs, et al, and is still a significant retailer. So if they say that they're pulling out of HD DVD, that still has some meaning.
