In wall/ceiling speaker help!

Hi! I have a quick question that I hope you guys dont mind answering. I am in the market for some surround speakers and need a little advice. I would like to go with in wall (for center and front surrounds) and in ceiling for (rear surround) for a 5.1 system. What do you guys recomend for brand of speakers to buy? I am going to match the system with an external 10in sub. Or am I making a mistake with an inwall system?

$1000 budget

Re: In wall/ceiling speaker help!

In walls aren't a bad way to go, it's just difficult to get decent sound on a smal budget. Does the $1000 include the sub? Not all manufacturers have in-wall center channels either. Some people just use a regular in-wall speaker or a pair of regular in-wall speakers as the center. Speakercraft makes a pretty good in=wall, in-ceiling speaker and they have matching LCR speakers for the center if needed. Russound makes some quality in-wall/ceiling speakers for great prices. NHT makes great speakers too and they have a dedicated in-wall center. Remember that a dedicated in-wall center requires your studs to be pretty perfect with regards to TV placement. Again, are you planning on including the sub for the $1000? That's going to make it pretty difficult to get any type of quality.
