I'm wondering about the source material--I seriously doubt much of these will be new or recent transfers; theres no way they could transfer their entire library before hand "just in case" someone orders one. What is most likely is that they will just use their catalog of pre-existing video masters; some of these will be a quality we expect from DVD, since channels like TCM have aired pretty good transfers of film not yet on DVD, but I'm guessing a lot of these will just be from older masters made for VHS, probably on Beta or D1 format. But I guess thats better than not having anything at all. Very curious to see how these turn out.

Kind of weird, although apparently HP has been doing this with other entities for over half a year, mucking about their site only offers press releases and no way that I can find to actually access it. Baffling how they expect to make money at it.
