Photo manipulation software

Thread Starter
I want to do the age-old trick of being able to cut
out a person's face and seamlessly put it on another photo.

I have Photoshop, but quite frankly, I wouldn't have the
foggiest notion of how to begin to accomplish that trick.

Is there a smaller program that will do that sort of photo
manipulation?

Re: Photo manipulation software

Not going to be any easier with a less powerful application, unfortunately. Just play around with the selection tools and see what happens.

Re: Photo manipulation software

Is there a demo for PhotoShop Elements 6.0? It has a tool specifically to merge faces from multiple photographs to create a super group photo, where everyone is smiling, eyes open. This would seem to be just the tool to do what you want.

This tool probably exists in PhotoShop, but I know nothing about it.

This is true.

Ronald, if this is something you need/want to do yourself then the easiest way is to do just what Christ says, open up Photoshop and start learning.

If you just need the final pic then I'd suggest you throw the pics up, with a brief description of what you want done, and watch the manipulations roll in. Your average laden-photoshopper has an uncontrollable urge to show off their mad skillz.
