New Receiver Question

Hello,

In the market for a new receiver. I have read the threads posted and don't want to beat a dead horse. But I was wondering if anyone could let me know the best 'bang for your buck' out there. As of right now, I'm seriously looking at the AVR-3808CI. Has anyone had any experiences with the Pioneer Elite line? Any preferences between Sony, HK, Yamaha, Pioneer and Denon?

Re: New Receiver Question

IMO there is not a general "Bang for the Buck" receiver. You need to select a receiver, or amp depending on what speakers you are driving, or planing on driving.

So the question is. What speakers?

Re: New Receiver Question

I have B&W 685 series speakers for all 5 speakers with a 10 inch definitive woofer. I am also looking to run 3 HDMI sources through the receiver as well.

No problem. Best Buy runs specials on that receiver for $699. Watch for it.
