Ok, I'm in the market for a new DVD player...

here are the basic requirements, along with some 'would be nice' ones too...

NEED TO HAVE:

- at least 720p upconversion (and up to 1080i, as my projector will support anything up to that resolution... so 1080p isn't a factor at all, and I'd rather not spend extra money on that)

- able to play divx 6 files without any problems

NICE TO HAVE

- Region Free and playing both NTSC/PAL

- support of 720p encoded divx 6 files (1280x720 resolution)

- USB connection and ability to play movies off of USB drives

and that's it.

really.

Now, I've been looking at the following:
  • RJ-TECH 1000HD
  • PHILIPS DVP5982/37
  • PIONEER DV400VK
  • OPPO 971H

Now, all of them are upconverting DVDs, all have listed compatibility with DivX 6 movies (aside from RJ1000HD, which I can't find anywhere), all are region-free, ntsc/pal compatible, all have USB connection too.

However, which ones support 720p divx movies?

And which ones are more stable than others, faster menus? Better video and/or audio?

Anyone has any personal experiences with these?

Suggestions for any of these? Or any similar models from other brands?

Comments?

(p.s. - my budget is around $100, so some of these I will consider buying used, like Oppo one, just to get it around that price margin... so please don't start suggesting any other much pricier models, as I won't be able to consider them).

Thanks!
