Did Samsung resolve all PS3 connectivity problems?

I wonder if Samsung has resolved all the issues it has with Sony PS3. I am in the market for a 40-42 inch LCD HDTV, but it seems that one way or another all of them have issues. The Toshiba model 42LX177 which I was considering is no longer an option, for some of the reviews on the Net are not favoring it because of color problems and whatnot. By the way, at this point, I will not spend more than $1700 on any unit since the above mentioned Toshiba is selling at a local dealer for under $1700.

By the way, I own a Sony PS3 (60Gb) and a Xbox 360 with a HD-DVD add-on drive.

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.
