I just bought a pair of Definitive Technology ProMonitor 1000's for my rears. My living room they are going in isn't all that big, but I wanted some opinions on height and aim of these speakers.

The room is mostly square with the tv and front speakers on the front wall. The main couch is flush against the wall on the far wall opposite the tv. Another couch is flush against the right (when looking at the tv) wall. The couches meet at the arms...in other words, neither couch is pushed into the back-right corner. That is where one speaker will need to go. The back left corner has an over-sized chair that is turned to face straight out from the back left corner and is pulled away from the corner by a few feet. The other speaker will need to go in that back-left corner.

So my question is how high should these speakers go and where should they be aimed? I have the Def Tech ball mounts so I should be able to turn them however I need.

Is 16 guage wire sufficient for these if I'm running 25 feet and less? Thanks!
