It's a new year, and Amazon is back with their now famous Blu-ray BOGO sale. So far, there are 96 titles eligible for the BOGO sale.

I may pick some of these up. I really can't believe I let so many movies sit in my cart until 1 day after the J&R $9.99 sale ended. Hmm, Harry Potter with this, or Harry Potter HD DVD...time to go read the thread.

Yes, I guess, as Blu-Ray prices go. Add another $27.95 title and get two for the same price!

I guess the key would be getting another 27.95 title - I was eyeballing 300 but it is only about $20, so I'd be selling myself short.

Definitely. The key is to get two movies that you really want to own...NOT to get two movies that are BOTH the same price.

I've certainly made that mistake in the past. You are much better off getting two movies that really interest you rather than trying to get the best "bang for the buck." Because in the long run, you really aren't getting the best return on the dollar if you aren't going to re-watch the film.

For those who would consider getting an Amazon credit card (or already have one), there's currently an ongoing DVDSAVE5 coupon you can use to save $5 off a $50 order w/ that -- works for DVD, BD and HD-DVD. That's besides the initial $30 back for the first order w/ the card. I saved additional $35 across 7 separate orders that way in this BD BOGO sale.

Right now...I'm seeing eighty titles in the sale.

I figure this sale may be getting a bit more attention tonight than it was before!

Got the Potters on HD DVD for $32 in the last BOGO sale. That was still 2007 & I got the additional 10%. This time I picked up 28 Days/Weeks Later on BD for $28. Got the Amazon Prime shipping, but I sure wish Amazon would offer 10% off hi-def again. With that discount I always checked the site before shopping for a title in the B&Ms...

i found the email confirmation showing the $27.95 price of the b1g1 deal.
dont know why amazon charged me for both.

i called and they said they will adjust it.
they did want me to send them a copy of the email so "we can have a copy of the email."
