Let It Be - The Beatles? - Page 2

Again, they better not give it a fake widescreen transfer, that would be very criminal if they did.

The lone home video release from 1981 wasn't even a proper full-screen transfer, all they did was take the cropped widescreen print from theaters and zoom in on it, to make it seem like a genuine full-screen transfer, but it wasn't.

I'll continue to hope but not hold thumbs for some kind of release. If this isn't hitting until 2013, I wonder if we'll get something next year? Don't the Beatles usually put out some kind of release every September? Though I think they skipped this year.

I'd love a bluray of the Anthology program. :)

and Help, Magical Mystery... :P

It's an interview with the director, Michael Lindsay-Hogg, and he says 2013 is when he expects the movie on DVD. He also says a re-release of Magical Mystery Tour is coming before that. A second disc to Let It Be will have a making of- feature and outtakes from the film, he says.

Perhaps the next update will be 2021 or so. The length of time of the Let It Be threads on HTF is now longer than the Beatles' recording career.

The on again,off-again tensions between Paul and Yoko is clearly what has been holding up the film (for obvious reasons) - I can't beleive they have finally agreed to put it out.
