Harry Potter Blu-ray Replacement Program Implemented

Posted December 20, 2007 by Josh

Warner Bros. As a temporary solution, Warner Home Entertainment is issuing single release replacement discs for owners who found an HD DVD version of 'Goblet of Fire' in their Blu-ray Harry Potter box sets. They will supply a boxset version of the disc, with matching artwork, to you once they have been printed. If you were affected by this, please contact WHV Customer Support at 1-800-553-6937.

We are also investigating an issue with the recently released 'Terminator 3' disc and 1080p playback. Once we have more information, we'll alert you to the problem.

Re: WHV implements Harry Potter BD Replacement Program

FYI:

Those who purchased the individual Harry Potter 1-5 BD's may have received the wrong disc art version (i.e. A BD GoF disc art version from the boxset) for their GoF disc instead of the matching cast picture disc art that is consistent with the rest of the individual Harry Potter BD collection.

I called the 800 number yesterday and they are sending me a replacement with the correct individual BD GOF disc art.

In am in the same boat as you, however when I called them yesterday they didn't seem to be aware of this problem. Do you happen to remember the name of the CSR you spoke to concerning it?

I have seen reports that indicate that Warner Bros. will be first sending out the BD GoF with the individual release disc art as a temporary solution for the BD HP boxset owners, with the beige disc art to follow later. Because of this I requested a replacement disc hoping I get a copy with the individual release disc art, but it would be nice if I could speak to someone who is familiar with this twist on the problem.

Sorry, I didn't get the lady's name. She took my name and shipping address and said they would send me a replacement BD GoF with the individual release disc art in 7 to 10 days.

I'll post when I receive it.

Edit: The lady also wanted to know where and when I purchased the disc to verify & trace the source.
