Hmmm...I was thinking the coupon would knock the Borders price ($32.99) for the Walt Disney Treasures sets down to about the same as the 2/$40 sale I couldn't take advantage of at Borders ($19.80).

But, they are not in stock at my local stores.

I was hoping to get Lost Season 3 on Blu ray.

List is $96.99 -40%=$58.20....

...but none of the Borders has it...

I wonder what consitutes a box set. I want to pick up MST3K ESSENTIALS which is 2 discs in an amaray case. I'll try it with the coupon and report what happens.

And valid only with Borders Rewards membership, although you can pick one up free at a store.

Purchased Adv. Of Young Indy Jones: Volume 2 for 59.99!! Very happy about the price.

I just picked up the 5 disc (non-briefcase) HD-DVD of Blade Runner with this coupon. This is a YMMV offer, though I'm not sure why. It went like this:

Her: (After scanning the set, my card and the coupon) - This won't take for some reason. I don't think this is a box set
Me: Yes it is - it has 5 discs.
Her: But its only one movie
Me: The four disc set is actually labeled as a "box set" on the back of the box. Would you like me to get it for you? This is the 5 disc version of the same thing - the collectors edition.
Her: Hold on a sec (converses with a manger for all of 5 seconds and comes back) - its good to go

So I don't know why it wouldn't work. Its definitely a "box set". Perhaps because its HD-DVD instead of DVD? I don't know, but the price was great - $23.99 + tax. I cancelled my Amazon order ($27.95 and not shipping until Dec. 24th) when I got home.

Incidentally, the price that originally came up in the register was $29.99 - a great deal compared to BB and CC. Too bad the coupon only worked on "list price" ($39.99).

My brain didn't even register that I could use the coupon on this set so thanks for the tip, Brian! Spending $60 on it certainly beat $90 at Amazon or $80 at Best Buy.
