What speakers do you recommend

Thread Starter
So I'm working on piecing together my first home theater system that is no in a box so far for my receiver I have a Sony STRDG510 which is 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms. Now I have 2 small children so I'm doing this on a budget and I've been looking at the Sony bookshelf speakers at best buy that run around 50 a pair I know there not the best but was wandering what else you could recommend around that price range right now I can only afford one pair and later will get a center channel speaker and sub and then work on the rears which I might move these to the back and buy a nicer set for the fronts.
Thanks

Re: What speakers do you recommend

I haven't heard them, but the Insignia 6 1/2" coaxial speakers that can be found at BB are supposed to be decent for the price (on sale again for $50/pr). Insignia - 6-1/2" Bass-Reflex Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) Model: NS-B2111 | SKU: 7705307

You probably won't find a matching center, but you can use these as surrounds down the road when you can afford a matching set of 3 for the front as you said.
