U2 albums remastered for CD?

I see that Universal has remastered and repackaged U2's The Joshua Tree.

Many artists, such as The Police, Sting, Dire Straits, Simple Minds, Peter Gabriel and even Talk Talk have had all their albums remastered and re-released with beautiful unified packaging.

Surely, there must be plans to do the same with U2's back catalogue. How could a band as successful as U2, not receive such treatment?

Anyone know something?

Bands usually have to pay the labels to do that remastering, so it is often a waiting game, waiting for the mood to strike both the band and the label at the same time, in order for the band to get a good deal on how much the label is going to charge them to remaster everything. At least that's what I've heard over the years.
