Fox, where is the "Marilyn Monroe - Special Anniversary Collection Vol. 2" - ???

With the following films...

Don't Bother To Knock (1952)
Monkey Business (1952)
How To Marry A Millionaire (1953)
There's No Business Like Show Business (1954)
Bus Stop (1956)


The first set was released last May, shouldn't we be seeing announcements for the new year by now?

Um, those were released back in 2002, I believe, in the second set of Monroe films. The ones released last year were repackagings of the first wave of titles from 2001.

Yes... but those of us who bought the "repackagings" would like to own these films as well. I personally would not have purchased them if it wasn't expected that the remainder of these titles would be reissued. Why else would Fox bother with this collection when those 'Diamond' sets were already available? Obviously the intent was to relaunch them in this new series. Yet, they've reassembled the films and only delivered half of them so far. It'd be a cheap move on Fox's behalf to not put out the rest of the films now for those of us who paid for the set last year... Especially since one cannot simply purchase the 'remaining' titles from only one of the early sets as the Special Anniversary Collection was cobbled together from both earlier boxes.

You can still get those DVDs as solo titles at amazon.

That is true, but there should still be a follow-up. At least that's what I was led to believe by the marketing approach to this set last year upon purchasing. I believe it was even discussed on HTF at the time. Why not just do a second set to tie up loose ends? Single copies are more expensive and you get better value with box sets. I also sold my first Diamond Collection last year when the new set was announced. I'd like to see Fox finish off these films.

I did the reverse when they announced it and picked up the Diamond collections on a 2 for 1 boxset deal. Did they ever box together the four early films - the ones with the yellow covers?

I sure wish Fox would do a 2nd set to the 80th Anniversary set with:

-There's No Business Like Show Business
-Bus Stop
-How To Marry A Millionaire
-Don't Bother to Knock
