Agreed, though I haven't admitted it before.

And while Linda Carter was (and indeed, is) a babe, Wonder Woman was really part of the 70s, rather than the 80s.

hahaha! I'm open and shameless with my Elvira love. I was actually surprised about how many are repulsed by her! WTF!!

Nice piccie of Linda. We'll forgive the mistake on that one.

Re: Babes of the '80s

Here's another one I like: Karla Bonoff.

She was a great 80s singer and she looked good. My favorite track by her is "Somebody's Eyes" from the soundtrack to "Footloose". The song has a great air of suspense and passion to it...When she sings it, you get that she's feeling those same emotions.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

Oh, and while we're talking about "Footloose", Lori Singer looked great, too:

I always laugh when I see that album cover - the designer ripped off the Karmann Ghia logo. I would love to know the story behind it. Maybe Alannah drove one?

Not in Whitesnake, on Whitesnake.

She was in a video where she performed stretches on the hood of a car.

Re: Babes of the '80s

Tawny Kitaen looks good, but she's a very troubled woman, as evidenced by appearing on the current season of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew". She's coming along pretty good, though.

Anyway, here's a picture of her back in the 80s:

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

I learned on "Celebrity Rehab" that her real name is Julie.

Re: Babes of the '80s

Another 80s babe I like is Jane Child.

I'm a particular fan of the song "Welcome To The Real World". It has a great combination of dance and pop-rock that gets me to dancing, and some interesting lyrics as well. She's right..."Life is often much stranger than fiction..."

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

Oh, and those piercings are strangely attractive, too.

Re: Babes of the '80s

Yeah - Jane Child had a crazy look going on back in the day. Wonder what she looks like these days....

And a special "babes of the '80s" shoutout to birthday boy John Kilduff!

Happy birthday, John!

Re: Babes of the '80s

I have a few more.

I received a Mary Jane Girls CD for Christmas. Now those ladies were stunning:

I think that MJG member Kim Wuletich (the dominatrix one) looked stunning...She looked a lot like Amber Lynn, and Lynn was a smoker as well.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

They used to play "In My House" regularly at 8Trax at Walt Disney World's now-closed Pleasure Island. Oh, for the memories of that club...

And in my head is a loop of the Buck rogers episode where those dwarves try to remove all her clothing  by wishing it .Bet the screenwriters got that idea by talking to all hot blooded males in America.

Heather Thomas was so underused, not enough appearances over the years.
Btw Zapped is on Netflix streaming if you have it.

Post #1..Picture #1 (from 2007)  David.

A little late to the party.

To make up for this breach...please post an appropriate '80s babe that has not yet been posted in the thread.  tongue.gif

Nah.  I'm okay with another look at Heather.  cool.gif

I liked my solution better.   I figured we'd get another image out of the deal.

Not only is Bonoff a great singer, she is an even better song writer.  Some of the best original songs on what I think was Linda Ronstadt's best album (Hasten Down the Wind) are by Bonoff.  (THe other great original tunes, including the title track, are by Warren Zevon.  The balance of the album is mostly covers.)  "Someone to Lay Down Beside Me," "Lose Again," and "If He's Ever Near" are just some of the best pop tunes ever recorded, and were all the more suprising because at the time Bonoff was a virtual unknown.

BTW, Linda looked pretty cute on the cover, too.
