FWIW, I think they're pretty hot.  Having said that, there are plenty of Japanese models who look that good or even better, though.

Because, Richard...as you well know...us long-time HTF members are savvy enough to know  that whenever Greg_S_H starts a thread, it's bound to prompt engaging and thought-provoking discussion among the membership.

It's quite fascinating what's transpired in this thread regarding what some people find hot and what some don't, because to me she's^^^ really nothing special, just another good lookin' brunette with nothing to distinguish her.

Re: my Race Queen pics I kind of feel like Ralphie from A Christmas Story where he was *CERTAIN* he'd get an A+++++ on his theme but didn't. Or like Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams where I can see the baseball players and don't get why you guys can't lol.

Yep.  Except she's blonde on Idol.  The one above was the only brunette picture I found of her.  She's a cutie either way!

It is interesting to see what each of us finds attractive and what we don't.  Although I'm sure none of us would kick ANY of these women out of bed.

John:  You are taking this much too hard.  If I can remember back that far, I was just giving you a hard time because you were really heavily dissing La Lohan in that other thread.  'Repugnant" is the word I think you used... 

And, that's okay.  Your two girls weren't really all that bad.  I usually don't see the small flaws like that through the major hotness. 

Puh-leeze...keep 'em comin'.  You've made way too many contributions to this thread to back off because a couple of your faves didn't get completely embraced by a small few.

Agree completely about Evangeline Lily on Lost, who I think is amazing.  Conversely Michelle Rodriguez, who is often spoken of as being an uber-hottie, does abosolutely nothing for me. 

One way I can tell who I go for and who I don't is the "flipping or scrolling" test.  If I'm scrolling through a web page or flipping through either the TV channels or the pages of a magazine, I'll naturally catch glimpses of plenty of women, most of which barely register consciously.  Generally speaking, I'll just keep looking for the article I'm trying to find or a show that looks like it is worth watching.  But sometimes I'm compelled by something I've seen to go back and check out one of those barely-glimpsed babes.  I don't think I've ever flipped past a picture or a moving image of Evangeline Lily, Marilyn Monroe, Ingrid Bergman, Natasha Henstridge or Rita Hayworth (to name just a few off the top of my head) without going back - and most of the time I don't even know who they are until I do go back.  I just see enough for my personal "hot babe" detector to register that a second look is in order.    But I can see and recognize pictures of many women widely considered attractive and not even slow down.

(This also happens in real life.  I used to work in a large open-plan office that took up the whole floor of a building.  There was a hot blonde that worked in a different area of the floor, and I was constantly catching a glimpse of her out of the corner of my eye without recognizing who she was, just that a "hot babe" had come within visual range.  At that point my head would involuntarily swivel in her direction and I'd realize who it was.  As far as I can tell she never noticed this, thanks to distance and the fact that she was rarely looking in my direction, but my boss found it very funny.  I eventually trained myself not to look at that particular women to escape the jokes.)

Here's one who may end up in my "no flip" list - Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera, who really deserves to be in better movies than her current film, Cop Out.  Some of you will remember her as Sister Encarnacion in Nacho Libre.

Michelle Rodgriguez really bugged me until recently, for the same reasons cited here - her "tough girl" attitude and that she never seemed to play anything but those kinds of roles. I'm not sure when things turned a corner. Maybe it was partway through her stint on Lost. I enjoyed seeing her in Avatar.

It is always interesting to see what attracts some doesn't attract others. Off the top of my head, Jennifer Simpson has never done a thing for me.

I just started watching Lost on DVD and jumpin' Jesus Christmas how can anyone not find Evangeline Lilly painfully hot!?

Michelle Rodriguez goes back and forth with me, I find her at her hottest when she's a little more feminine looking rather than all buff like she was in Girl Fight. She looked slammin' in Avatar I thought.

Here's one that may surprise you and I may have even mentioned it already many pages back, but I don't see why every guy on the planet goes nuts for Jessica Alba, yes she's attractive but she has an extremely long neck and her skin color is far too bronze for me.

Amazing lips and eyes, though.

There's bound to be some backlash or simple indifference when people clamor over something or someone. Such was the case when Aishwarya Rai was proclaimed the most beautiful woman in the world. I was all, "meh." :)

Seriously, though, Rai is certaintly in the running, just a stunning specimen.

I'll have to agree with you Cameron on the above post. She isn't doing alot for me.

It's rather fascinating who will like who and who wont. There are women MANY people seem to just love that I simply don't get. Halle Barry for one, Jennifer Lopez for another.

I do think Jessica Alba is gorgeous, Evengeline Lily is a cutie too. Michelle Rodriguez gets about 10x more attractive when she isn't in her constant "Pissed off" look. =)

I do that everywhere I go! But I have no choice but to leave them be because I'm too much of a puss to approach such women lol.

Two words: Victoria Secret. I'm a sucker for all of those commercials, especially if Adriana Lima is in them...merciful heaven.

I'm 7 episodes into Lost and I'm loving it so far, I've heard from my friend, and by reputation over the years, that this show is pretty mysterious and at times really freaky and I can tell that already.

I agree completely...although Halle Berry is on my list! 

One that I could NEVER get...was everyone's infatuation with Brooke Shields.  But, that's me! 

Young Brooke Shields, hell yeah, current Brooke Shields...nah.

  That's why they still make both vanilla and chocolate ice cream.  People's different tastes/ideas keep the world spinning on it's axis.
