Hello All,

I am very happy to have joined this community and I am needing some answers from the experts.

I just bought a Toshiba HD DVD A-3 Player. I am running the regular cables from it to an Old Standard RCA 36 inch TV. I am watching the movie 300.
As a side note..I will be purchasing either a Sharp LCD 47 1080P and or a SamSung 40 inch LCD...anyway I noticed that I see some grains on the current tv..is because of the cables and or because of the TV ?..or both.
Okay let me know need help.

Regards

IMO, 300 is a grainy movie.

I agree with Kevin, it's just the movie in this case. 300 was shot with an artistic grainy/sepia quality to make it look more "antique", I guess. "Planet Earth" from the BBC makes a pretty good benchmark standard for image quality for HD-DVD, imo.
