I know Warner's owns it, and would do a good job with it, but why are they holding this back? This was one of my favorite films as a youth. I still have the laserdisc on this too. I wonder if anyone has heard anything on it?

Re: PT 109? any news on this?
I've posted in the past a few times about this title too. I have the LD and a fondness for it as you do too!I have no idea why it's not released. I can only imagine a number of reasons from the studio that feels it's an old and not very loved film, to a conspiracy theory such as when the Heston films like Omega Man were not seemingly looking to ever be relasesed.
Maybe the Kennedy family don't want it out, though I find that hard to believe. I know it sort of white washes JFK's military career in a really Hollywood way, or at least it appears to. I really liked JFK as a real person and President. I join you in hoping that it sees a release on DVD.

It's 2008 now, and still no release or knowledge of it. Anyone know what the hold up is with PT 109?

I also liked PT 109 and am surprised that it wasn't released. I thought that this quarter was going to see a release of war movies for I am also waiting on Darby's Rangers, Desperate Journey and a few other titles [paratrooper, all the young men, destination gobi, ect]

Re: PT 109? any news on this?
HD Net Movies ran PT 109 sometime ago in the proper aspect ratio and I was lucky enough to record a copy. It is a real nice clean recording but I would love to replace it with a commercial dual-layered DVD. It is a very good movie and it is a mystery why it has not yet been released on DVD/BluRay when you see all the other junk that is available.Home Theater Forum › Home Theater Forum › Blu-ray, DVD, Streaming Video and Digital Downloads › DVD › PT 109? any news on this?
