A trailer for Street Fighter IV has been released...

I saw this posted recently on some gaming sites. They have tried to make it darker for sure in the preopening sequence. I hope that they do the same with the game play. I like the stylized graphics and blood. It is a bit wishful thinking that they would do that but if they did. What a comeback that would be.

Already pre-ordered the special edition for PS3.
This and Resident Evil 5 are my most anticipated for the first half of this year.

I'm thinking of getting in, but from what I hear, it's virtually required to have an arcade stick for this game. I'm not sure I want to have to spend another $60 for that.

Yeah, playing with a regular controller is kinda tough. That said, consider the additional purchase as incentive to get more fighting games. My arcade stick is in the mail, should be here within the coming week.

What stick is pretty good for the money? I would like to get this game but I downloaded SFII recently and without a stick it is very difficult.

It looks like controllers from Hori are favored by hard core SF4, etc. players (I'm not really into the genre although SF4 looks like I might have to check it out). They are listed on Amazon for under $60 (different version for PS3 and Xbox360) and are currently backordered. Look HERE.

Madcatz is another company mentioned favorably but I believe the controllers are a bit more pricey. You can get into some serious coin with some of these customized products.

I ordered a Hori PS3 stick from Buy.com for $46 (that's including shipping/tax). The problem is that it won't be here until next Tuesday. I was unable to find an arcade stick in ANY stores.

Also, if you haven't played any SF or fighting games before, I would not recommend getting this one. It might have borrowed ideas from modern games (challenge mode, easy online play, unlockables to slightly customize your online "avatar") but it is by no means any more accessible that any other SF game or fighting series. It looks great, sounds great, and plays great, but it's definitely for the fans.
