Just came across this story. Although society has determined she over-reacted, I thnk many of us can understand where she's coming from:

Man.

I had an experience in a Burger King restaurant today (15 minutes standing at the counter for two milkshakes!) and was thinking I wish I had this lady's hammer.

Cool story.

Today I had a Best Buy cashier struggling to get my BB credit card to work and kept swiping and swiping and swiping. I was tempted to ask her if she knows the definition of insanity. She ultimately called a lead rep who after postulating that maybe my card had expired from non-use or that I had missed a payment, decided to punch in the card number manually. The funny thing was that the original cashier was actually training someone else. Blind leading the blind?

But I cut them some slack because they were ultimately just a bunch of kids.

The cashiers are usually not to blame as these big box retailers provide little to no training, poor wages, and no benefits. Turover is a weekly or daily event. Kind of strange but you would think the companies would make more money by paying slightly higher wages to minimize on turnover and the period of inefficiency for new employees.

That's my local Comcast office.

After dealing with them for a couple of weeks trying to get a Series3 Tivo going (cablecards), and never getting it right, I can fully understand her problem.

Their complete ineptitude means that I'm stuck with their craptastic SciAtl DVR.

At the instant high-speed internet competition moves in (my only choice is Comcast right now, meaning the only financially smart choice for TV is Comcast), I'm out. Verizon- PLEASE PLEASE get FIOS out here.

Well, I don't normally condone this type of behavior but that was a great read.
