Problem with HDMI Switcher

Hi. I recently purchased a 4X1 Enhanced HDMI Switch with built-in Equalizer from Monoprice.com. My new 50" Panasonic plasma has 2 HDMI ports. I have the first one going into my DVD player and the second one going into this switcher. DVD player works completely fine, but all the inputs on the switcher only show picture and no audio. Any idea why this is happening? Am I doing something wrong? Is it just a bad switcher? Many thanks in advance for any help!

Strange. That switcher has a good reputation. The only thing extra to watch out for is PS3 (for some reason it is picky about some switchers).

Try plugging the switcher into the input on the TV where you have the DVD player plugged in. Also - plug the DVD player into the switcher since you know it is sending both audio & video. If the DVD player into HDMI1 works fine, but you get video and no audio going DVD->switcher->HDMI1 - then the switcher is the problem.
