I am trying to find a surround sound system that will work with my current equipment.
I have a FIOS Box for TV, Xbox 360 Elite for games and DVD/HD-DVDs, and a Westinghouse 42" 1080p LCD TV.
The FiOS box connects with a digital coax from the source, then HDMI to the TV, and the Xbox with an HDMI to the TV.
Im looking for a surround sound setup that will work with both. The TV also has a digial audio out, but I read that most TVs wont pass the audio out from HDMI sources.
The system I was considering getting is the Logitech Z-5500 THX-certified, 505-Watt 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Speaker System.
On the Logitech website it says it has a Digital Optical input for CD/DVD/Xbox, but I was wondering if anyone knew if this would work from the input coming from my TV?
Im new to a lot of audio stuff, most of the time I am fine with TV sterio audio but id like to upgrade.
Thanks
