The highly-stylized opening with the bright colors, the narration and the bittersweet and tragic tone all seemed like elements right out of 'Amelie' (oh, and counting out the life span in years, weeks, days and minutes was also an element in that film, I believe)
I've never seen Anna Friel before, but how cute is she?
the re-animating of the fly is separated from Ned's mother's death by a playdate with Chuck, distancing the two events by too long an amount of time for them to be related

High concept AND musical numbers, there's no way the general viewing public will stand for that in this day and age. Again this isn't me talking, I liked the musical number i'm simply saying there's no way the public at large will continue to support this show, I can feel it in my gut, guys.

It was terrifying actually to see them stand so close
