Smallville - Season 7 thread - Page 11

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

And Smallville gets renewed for another season.

Without knowing how the end of this season plays out, I'm hoping for steps toward a spinoff of some kind...anything except a Supergirl series.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

How about a black comedy where Chloe goes around saving lives, and the hook is "what will they do with her dead body this week?"

Week one: burial at sea!
Week two: food for rabid hyenas!

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

If the time frame gets longer each time, it would be like a time travel story (looking at it from her point of view); having to adjust to each new era she woke up in.

I bet the writers haven't thought of that, but that would actually make her powers very interesting. It'd have to be modified so she has a chance to hide somewhere before it happens, because her ending up in a coffin underground wouldn't work too well.

New episode, titled "Hero", of Smallville is on tonight.

While i'm thrilled that Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Pete is returning briefly to Smallville
I can't say that i'm thrilled with the description on the DVR. I mean Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Krytonite-laced chewing gum!?

That just sounds, I don't know, lame. But this is one of my favorite shows so i'll reserve judgment but the Krytonite-fueled villain haters aren't going to be pleased I don't think. Not that Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Pete is a villain
but still.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

Hmm, I suddenly have the urge to go out and buy some Stride chewing gum, I have no idea why, though,

While it was great seeing Pete again, tonights episode was a big time shameless commercial for that gum lol.

You can say that again. Oy vey...I'm all for discreet product placement, but this was almost like taking a 2 x 4 to the head.

Ya know, I'd like for them to include recaps at the beginning of every episode like LOST does. I couldn't remember for the life of me where we left off in the last new episode. I thought Lana had the bracelet, for starters.

And what's this stuff about Clark calling Pete? First time we've heard about that...

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

Also, do the Stride people make a habit of holding concerts right there in their factories?

I did however love how nasty Lex was in this episode, he's just losing it week by week and i'm loving it! And it looks like Lional has some splainin' to do.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

Pete looked like he's aged 10 years since his last appearance. The hour-long Stride commercial was really stretching it (bad pun!).

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

Who was Lex's henchman at the end and what did he do to Pete to cause him to lose his power. (I was so bored by this episode that I was only half-watching by that point and I guess I missed something.)

My friend, the DVR. Didn't record this. I wonder if the CW streams.

I thought it was the Haitian, but then Clark wouldn't have had his powers.

I *think* Pete's power was a one-time use type of thing for every piece of gum he put into his mouth. He used up the current Kryptonite when he pulled Lex toward him. But it then begs the question why was Pete so surprised when his arms wouldn't stretch again?

Eh, it's Smallville.

Not to mention a shameless commercial for the music as well.

All in all, a piss poor episode. And we waited a few weeks for this? I hope the next is better.

Eh, it's Smallville.

The gum visibly flew out of his mouth. Maybe he didn't realize the powers would fade instantly when that happened.

Who would stack pallets on a river of glowing green goo? Stride, that's who. Remind me not to buy anything from their factory!

Isn't it funny how sometimes you just wanna chuck your friend right out the freakin' window?

Speaking of the stream of glowing Kyptonite, did anyone else momentarily think that someone had killed a Predator nearby lol?

I got a new one today. It's a newer model, so the outside looks nicer than the old one. Functionally, it appears to be identical. I just hope I have better luck with this one. Well, to be fair, my old one served me well for a long time, but the "hard drive reads as full when it's completely empty" bug was a killer.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

I need to upgrade mine, too, I just got a new HDTV and the box i'm using doesn't have an HDMI out only componant so I plan to swap as soon as I clear my recordings or transfer them to a DVD. Still, componant looks damn good.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

So, there's a new episode next week? Great. My schedule shows a Mavericks game followed by George Lopez. I wonder when the local CW will pick it up.

Never mind. It was a quirk caused by the guide not being fully loaded yet.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

It looked like Lex's henchman that was beating up Pete was the guy from Lexmas episode. The one who was going to take care of Johnathan Kent.

Yeah this "Hero" episode was awful.

and there's something up with Lex's family crest/star alignment/and 1st meteor shower

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

Less Lana in Season 8. According to a post by Kristin Kreuk that is reproduced on Smallville: Kristin Kreuk's Smallville Future she will only be in a few episodes next season.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

The show goes on, but possibly without Lex and with a lot less Lana. Hopefully this will force them to shake things up. Or, they could just have him wandering around the farm, pining for Lana.
