Dirty Sexy Money season 1 thread - Page 2

Re: Dirty Sexy Money season 1 thread

This show is great.. I love every aspect of it except the fact i got fooled about the trany being a trany. That makes me cringe....

I wonder whats going to happen with Juliet's character with the actress Samaire Armstrong now in rehab. Maybe that will be worked in with her character.

"Eyes" was a short-lived show on ABC.

I'm enjoying this show as well, but usually watch the episode 2 or 3 days after it airs.

I'm glad that they didn't drag out the charade with Brian and his "Swedish orphan" much longer.

The show got off to a slow start, but I think it is becoming more fun to watch.

Enjoyed last night's episode. It's a fast paced show, but it never feels crowded.

Re: Dirty Sexy Money season 1 thread

I've been on the fence about dropping Dirty Sexy Money because the Darling's have annoyed the crap out of me. This week's show was the first in which I felt another emotion-empathy and pity, to be exact-toward the show. From Brian breaking down about how much he misses his wife and kids to Jeremy becoming completely unraveled...I feel these characters are becoming real people. I'm rooting for Jeremy to succeed in making something of himself because he seems to want it so badly now.

And the last scene, with the pitch for 9k for the playground. When Nick handed them a check for 200k, I will admit I got choked up.

Re: Dirty Sexy Money season 1 thread

Tripp really must trust Nicholas, using the Darling Plaza just to get to the real NTSB report on Dutch's plane crash is craziness. So what is Patrick's dealing with Simon? Jeremy's ability to throw money at situation is a bit of fun (crashing a car during his valet job, and then just buying a new car to replace, must be nice to be rich). The video gaming scene was a good bit for showing us how close the Darlings are behind the trappings of wealth.

Re: Dirty Sexy Money season 1 thread

No surprise that Karen's marriage fell apart. What is surprising, is that the producers didn't make her marriage last at least a few episodes.

I think Tripp really loves Nicholas. In many way Nicholas is the son he wished he had, and he'd all three of the ones he has for him. (So - anybody willing to bet on the idea that Tripp was cheating with Nicholas's mom before she took a powder, and that Nick might actually be Tripp's son? )

Later,

Joe

Anyone feel bad for Brian after the mom came back to reclaim the son?

+1, making Karen his half sister.

That's assuming Tripp is her father. She could be Dutch's.

Re: Dirty Sexy Money season 1 thread

According to Ausiello,
Quote:
Samaire Armstrong, who plays Juliet, brat-astic celebutante and fraternal twin to Jeremy, will not be returning to the series full-time, sources confirm to me exclusively. A spokesperson for ABC Studios declined to comment, but a Dirty Sexy insider tells me that producers decided not to pick up Armstrong's contract option. The actress is, however, expected to appear on a recurring basis, her schedule permitting.
We're watching Dirty Sexy Money in NZ at the moment (finale next week), and I'm really loving it. I was happily surprised when I watched the pilot and saw that Samaire was on the show - I've loved her ever since she was on The OC, and after watching her play smarter roles both in The OC and Entourage, I found her role as the shallow Paris sibling to be quite enjoyable. They haven't done as much with the character as the other family members, but it was still nice to see her regularly as a core cast member. So I'm sad to see her go, and will have to hope for lots of recurring appearance.
