Bones season 3 thread

Just a reminder that the new season Bones starts tonight!!!!!

Here is a recap of last seasons finale.
Quote:
Several questions were left hanging at the end of Season Two: What happened after Angela and Hodgins fled the altar, leaving Brennan and Booth to fill the gap? Will Zack go to Iraq? If so, what will happen to him there? Will Cam and Booth resume their on-again, off-again relationship?

Great first episode.. super creepy. It looks as though this sets up a long arch that may last a big part of the season.

Who played the private investigator? He looked familiar.

Re: Bones season 3 premiere 9/25/07

That suspect had some of the most disturbing dialogue i've heard in quite some time.

Wierd seeing Hodgins without his beard and Angela is looking as sexy as she ever has.

BTW, would love to get this shows opening theme song as a ringtone on my cell, anyone know where I can find it? Love how that hard-hittin' dance beat shakes my chair when it comes up.

Re: Bones season 3 premiere 9/25/07

Who knew babies taste like fish.

If this first episode is any indication, this is going to be a real fun season as they track down the person / people even creepier than the one they just caught.

I hope we find out exactly what happened to Zack in Iraq. That seems like it would be an interesting or funny story. Having him interact with the military folks could be comedy gold. Or, seeing him have to deal with war, could be a way to help us understand him a little better. Either way, I would like to see this story be revealed this season.

I also thought it was really funny how fixated Hodgins was on the size of Angela's Ex's hands.

Although I haven't seen it yet (have it PVRed),

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I received a pre-season 3 disc in my boxed set of season 2 explicitly stating that the show would have another serial killer (besides the Grave Digger) to allow Bones/Booth a Morietary to go after

The cast chemistry didn't skip a beat in the season opener. Who knew Zack would end up being the lynchpin to the group dynamic.

Am I the only one who suspects that Booth called in a favor or two to get Zack back?

I thought you gave up on this show back in season 1?

Anyway, I don't know about ringtones, but I can easily send you an mp3 of it if you want, let me know.

Yep, watched the pilot when it originally aired and didn't care for it, but it became one of Wendy's favorite shows and because of her praises I decided to give it another shot on DVD and ended up loving it.

I'd love to have that mp3, thanks!

Possible, but I tend to doubt it given what Booth said to Bones about not telling him not to go. Would have defeated the purpose of 'letting him leave the nest' if he'd stepped in. Plus, he didn't realize why Brennan was avoiding him until that discussion.

Re: Bones season 3 premiere 9/25/07

Just wanted to jump in and say I love this show and the first episode was great!

*Just wondering, but why would closing your eyes help during an explosion?*
*It just ... does...okay Bones? It just does...*

Uh oh! Sexual tension between Bones and Booth is at an all-time high. Hopefully we finally get to see them get together...

Glad to know you have it a second chance. Pilots are usually make or break for people, which is a shame since it usually takes time for the bugs to be worked out.

As for the mp3 of the title theme, you have a PM

Re: Bones season 3 thread

I feel sorry for the kid playing Sweets. No matter how good a character he turns out to be, I'm going to hate him for not being Stephen Fry.

Re: Bones season 3 thread

I always love it when Bones tries to use phrases that she doesn't normally use, it's sexy somehow...

"He who smelt it dealt it!"

Re: Bones season 3 thread

Brennan should wear that Wonder Woman outfit full time from now on.

"Where did you even hide that thing?"

Re: Bones season 3 thread

This was the first time I ever watched the show, and I enjoyed it. The outfit helped The promo for the episode should do wonders for the ratings -- even with my friend's recommendation, the outfit was the only thing that enticed me to watch.

Maybe Emily should play WW in the new movie.

Re: Bones season 3 thread

This show has had many great episodes but I think last nights was the best yet. And yes the Wonder Woman costume was the pièce de résistance.

Re: Bones season 3 thread

I surprised that she wore for a large chunk of the episode. I was even more surprised that is was so... jiggly.

Re: Bones season 3 thread

Wow, just wow. Wonder Woman, Cat Woman, and Cher -- I've been in a lot of science Labs in my life, but this Trio is special.

The spin she did toward the end was just hysterica -- i could just hear Linda's theme music blasting in the background. Who needs a Magic Lasso to force the bad Guy to tell the truth.

Re: Bones season 3 thread

I always found Bones to be a very attractive woman but man I had no idea, she set off that costume like no one's business!

Re: Bones season 3 thread

The WW spin is why I like the Brennan character. She's so serious 98% of the time, but she's got a silly side that pops out in the most unexpected ways.

That was a wonderful moment, especially because it was so clearly something she did spontaneously and just for herself. She wasn't showing off or sharing a joke with Booth - he had his back to her. She just thought it was cool and liked doing it.

Actually, the whole WW thing showed an adorably geeky side to Temperance. (Comic book geeky, rather than the usual science geeky.) That she wears that costume every year, knows all of the character's powers and mythology and was very seriously miffed that anyone might think Catwoman was even in her league is all just too cute for words. (As was Emily in that costume. )

Joe

Re: Bones season 3 thread

Yeah, that's what I really liked. It sort of doesn't fit with how oblivious she usually is to pop culture, but it's a fun little inconsistency to her character. The obvious route for the episode would be to have her going on about the history of Halloween, pagan rituals, why we like to be scared... But instead, she just likes dressing up for the holiday.

I think Wonder Woman is a piece of her childhood that she's hung onto. She wasn't always a science geek, and probably read the comic books when she was a kid. Although she clearly also watched the TV series, that was probably one of the few shows she bothered with even at that age. Now if only Angela had taken She-Hulk as a role model when she was a little girl.

Joe

Re: Bones season 3 thread

My wife and I just love this show. We watched a CSI NY, and realized that Bones is a lot more fun to watch than all of the CSI shows.
